With a population of just over 11,000 people, Elliot Lake Ontario boasts a small-town feel with city amenities, and a host of outdoor activities right on your doorstep.
If you like the idea of living mere minutes away from walking, ATV and snowmobile trails, boat launches, a downhill ski hill, and a championship 18-hole golf course, then is the town for you. Or maybe hunting and fishing is more your thing. Elliot Lake sits in the midst of boreal forest and numerous lakes and streams.
Since the closure of its main industry (uranium mining), Elliot Lake has re-branded itself as a four-season resort destination, and retirement community. You can ride your ATV or snowmobile around the extensive trail system, fish in the many lakes, or get involved in the active arts and culture scene in town.
We’re currently home to two grocery stores (Foodland and No Frills), Canadian Tire, Dollarama, five pharmacies, and numerous independent retailers.
If you crave the big(ger) city, Sudbury and Sault Ste Marie are within a two hour drive.
